One of my very most favorite places to go is Long Point on Lake Erie in Ontario. Last weekend the hubby & I went out there for little getaway. The weather was a bit moody on Saturday, but after the rain I grabbed the camera and we went for a walk along Erie Blvd. Lots of really cute cottages here. AND OH what I would do to own a beach house here! Would someone like to lend give me about $400 - $500,000? *sigh*

When we approached the lake, we were a little freaked out to see the shoreline completely lined with dead smelt (long and shiny little fishies). Was it lighting from the storm? Freaky. After googling, it seems they die off after spawning. Extra stress from the storm probably also helped this along. Bum rap!
