Cruise out to Niagara-on-the-Lake

Oct 18, 2009 | 0 Comments

Went for a Saturday afternoon cruise on the Lake Ontario Wine Route out to Niagara-on-the-Lake. The fall colours are still in early stages at this point even though we’re already half way through october. I’ll just have to make a point to get out again next weekend ;) Only really had time to hit one winery (“Puddicombe” - the very first one on the route) since we got a bit of a late start. We also made a stop at the park near the pier in Port Dalhousie. Initially our intention was only for a bathroom break, but there was a lady feeding a huge gathering of birds so i couldn’t resist jumping out to snap a few. Glad I did cause we ended up wandering out to check out the pier and it was very nice… chilly but nice :) Last stop was in the town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Wow, what a lovely little tourist town! The gardens were magnificent. Definitely would like to go back there again for some nice dinner and check out more of the shops and art galleries.
