Trading Cards for Photographers?
Oct 27, 2009 | 0 Comments
To other fellow photographers and those who aspire to be one, I would like to spread word on something very cool: Trade Secret Cards! These beautiful glossy cards have a different image on each card, and on the back contain a lighting diagram and explanation on how the image was shot. A cool way to learn some new techniques with the bonus of being small enough to fit in your camera bag :) Scope out their website for more info and how to order the set.
I’m also very pleased to say that my photo “Letting Go” has been included in their debut set “Strobist Favorites Gallery Vol. 1”. The photos from this set were all chosen from the personal Flickr Faves of Mr. Strobist himself, David Hobby.
Not familiar with Strobist? It’s an amazing photography blog all about lighting that focuses mostly on how to use smaller shoe-mount flashes OFF of your camera to help take your photographs to the next level. It is also geared towards the budget conscious, contains lots of DIY tips and helps to prove that you don’t always need fancy expensive equipment (although YES it is nice!) to make an amazing photo. For those that are just starting out with lighting, there are great lighting courses available on the site FOR FREE! I personally owe a big thanks to Mr Hobby for sharing his knowledge because I really learned A LOT from his site so do check it out! :)
